Every year on labor day weekend extreme kayakers from all over the US and Canada flock to up state New York's Adirondack region. Three days of scheduled dam releases fill 4 distinct sections, Raquette, Eagle, Taylorville, and Mosier. Kayakers come for the class 4+ whitewater, they come for the party, and they come to compete for the title of King of New York.
The King of New York race series is three races each down steep and difficult whitewater. The champion of the series will be crowned at the final race on the Moose river Oct. 15th.
